Low income older adults may apply for $40 in checks redeemable at authorized farmers markets in Snohomish County. Checks may be used to purchase locally-grown fresh fruits and vegetables.
Eligibility requirements include: age 60 or older (55+ if Native American), Snohomish County residency, and income lower than $1,722 per month for a one-person household or $2,333 for a two-person household. Checks will be distributed at the following locations on a first come, first serve basis. Photo ID is required, long lines are expected and a wait of up to two hours is possible.
July 8 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m – Everett Farmers Market, south entrance at Everett waterfront marina 1600 W. Marine View Drive.
- July 11 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Stocker Farms, 10622 Airport Way, Snohomish
- July 11 from 3 to 7 p.m. – Mukilteo Farmers Market, Lighthouse Park, 609 Front St
